Ryan & Krista's Wedding

It's no surprise - I love tented weddings and I love the color yellow. So, naturally I loved what Krista did with the details for her wedding in Maine this weekend. Lobster trap card box, lemonade stand and lobster served at dinner. This was a casual wedding done so right.

Magnolia's Banana Pudding

If you haven't tried this recipe - you are missing out big time! Magnolia's Banana Pudding is one of the cheapest/most amazing deserts ever. I like to arrange mine in a trifle bowl - but you can also prepare it this way.

If you're going to make this recipe, be sure to invite friends over because it only lasts a couple days and having to throw away any on the third day is a tragedy. Enjoy!

Magnolia Bakery Banana Pudding
From 'More From Magnolia'

Serves 12

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups water
2/3 cup vanilla pudding mix
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
3 cups cold heavy cream
1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers
4 ripe bananas, sliced

Directions
Whisk together the water, pudding mix and sweetened condensed milk until will mixed. If not using instant, refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. If using instant, it will be ready to go within 15 min.

When pudding is ready, whip the heavy cream in a chilled bowl until soft peaks form. Fold the pudding mixture into the whipped cream until well incorporated.

In a deep glass bowl (or pie pans or whatever you want to use to layer...but honestly the deeper the bowl the more it will all 'mish mash' together), layer the pudding, wafers, bananas and pudding again. Continue until all the mixture is used up, ending with either wafers or pudding.

Refrigerate for 4 hours or so...then serve!

Newborn Photos

I just realized I forgot to share a very special photo session we had with our awesome photographer, MrDrew. Here is a peek at Brendan's newborn pics. Be sure to check out more on MrDrew's website.

4th of July Wedding Inspiration

Marilyn's Dress or Pale Oak? That is the question.

I am so getting there!! With selecting a paint color that is.

After 2 years of extensive deliberation on which paint color to chose for our living room....I have narrowed it down to two Benjamin Moore paint colors (Marilyn's Dress and Pale Oak). As you know the room has a lot of honey, gold and white tones...so I wanted a grayer wall color to balance things out. Now the questions is, how gray should I go? I'd love you opinion if you have one. Keeping the room yellow...well that isn't an option:)
