Invitations

Envelopments are fantastic for custom invitations. We bought the paper and designed the rest ourselves. We spent many night cutting, pasting and assembling these beauties! Our guests all apprecaited the extra effort.

Our Ring Pillow

This ring bearer pillow was hand made by one of my favorite Etsy sellers (Viabella) who does not have any ring pillows in her store. How did I commission the job? Easy I just asked her. The ring pillow is aqua dupioni silk to match the bridesmaid dresses. The yellow orchid was supplied by my fantastic florist, Jessica from Cymbidium Floral.

Wooden bride and groom signs mark the two most important seats at the reception...for the bride and groom.

Mokara Orchids

Nothing signifies tropical beauty for than orange Mokara Orchids. These arrangements are stunning!

My centerpieces will be low square arrangements combining ranunculus, cymbidium orchids, mokara orchids, roses and celiosa.

Table Numbers

I'm designing simple table bumbers printed on white paper affixed to a coral cardstock backing, held by a silver card holder from Crate and Barrel http://tinyurl.com/5cyojj

Runners

Sarah, a family friend is sewing aqua linen runners as an overlay to the 120" white linens on our guest tables.

Still trying to decide if we'll do two criss-crossed runners?

Or a single slightly wide runner on each table?

Ring Pillow

Our aqua ring pillow from Viabella. I originally planned on using a similar silk flower attached to the pillow since this particular flower will actually go in my hair on the big day...I just attached it temporarily for show.

And, as with most details in planning my wedding, the actual decoration of our cute little aqua ring pillow did change. Instead of a white silk flower, we opted for a yellow cymbidium orchid from our florist. I live the combination of aqua and yellow and think it came out even better than I expected!

The plan for a silk flower in my hair also went out the window the day of my wedding. Again I opted for a fresh white cymbidium orchid tucked behind my ear. Worked like a charm!

Shoes and Clutch

My shoes are fifi (a UK brand) and the style is called poppy. My clutch is another Etsy special from viabella (she happens to also be designing a custom ring pillow for our ring bearer).

A Very Cute Aqua and Orange Wedding

Snippets from a graphic designers well planned aqua and orange wedding. I really like the bouquet and shepherd hooks with lanterns.

DIY Invitations

Being ambitious at the time we ordered the paper...we soon realized we were possibly in over our heads in creating these! We managed to get them done with a lot of sweat and tears (no blood since thankfully we know how to use an x-acto knife properly). But they were worth it and our guests have given us so many compliments on how they came out.

Rock Concert Style Wedding Poster

Our reception poster from aprilink came out amazing! She took our wedding details and color scheme and came up with something we can frame after the wedding to keep.

Custom Garter

My garter was designed by PetereneDesign from where else - Etsy of course! Although I was not initially planning to do a garter toss, I changed my mind quickly when I came across this one. Too pretty to pass up.

Wedding Palette

My wedding palette. Aqua, orange and ivory...inspired by the beach

My mom and sister both live in Hawaii and we all have a love for sun, sand and ocean. I wanted something bright to offset our rustic setting at Flag Hill Winery. This palette is the best complement!

Centerpiece Inspiration

Orange mokara orchids give a fresh look, especially against aqua linens.

Bride and Groom Chairs

I sent this photo to one of my favorite Etsy sellers Pinstripes0108 to see if she could create something similar.

Ours will be painted black with white writing, on white chiavari chairs.

Menus

Our florist, Jessica from Cymbidium Floral will tuck a single orange mokara orchid into each napkin. I'm designing my own menu cards for our buffet/station style reception.

Cake

I think these cakes are adorable. We are doing a three tier cake and cupcakes instead of three small cakes, but would like this look! Now I just have to find a bamboo cake stand...hmm where are I going to find one of those?

Flower Inspiration

For my bouquet I'm thinking something like this...with ranunculus, roses, mokara orchids and cymbidium orchids.

Cupcake Flags

I found these on Etsy from buttercreambee. Our baker (I Dream of Jeanne Cakes) is baking delicious carrot cupcakes for our wedding and these flags will adorn the top.

My Dress - Marisa 737

I literally tried on 100 dresses (exhausting!) before trying on this gown and knowing immediately that it was "the one". The designer is Marisa and it's style 737. I love the ethereal layers of organza with alencon lace overlay carefully placed throughout. It's also really lightweight and breathable so I won't suffer too much at our outdoor wedding. Ahh! Marisa 737....it's love at first sight.

Below are a few pic of the Marisa 737 in action.

Chalcedony and Pearl Earrings

My earrings arrived - a custom order from fussjewelry. You can find her on Etsy - her work is inspired by nature with lots of flower and vine motifs. I can't wait to wear these with my dress. They're made with keshi pearls, aqua chalcedony and rutilated gold quartz.

Bracelet to match is in construction now...

Meg's Jewelry

I ordered a custom bracelet for Meg - my best friend, sister, and matron of honor to be. We have a new favorite color combo - aqua and peach! I'm using this palette in my wedding on varying levels, sometimes more of a juicy orange and other times...a pale innocent peach.

The Perfect Silk Flower

Found it! The perfect flower clip for my wedding day - a hybrid between modern and romantic. The New York silk flower is designed by Muscari. This clip is the softest ivory with all silk petals and a carefully placed feather, pearl and crystal cluster in the center for just a little sparkle. It's just lovely and will go perfectly with my wedding dress, the Marisa 737.

I'll post pics when it arrives~
