A Pleasant Surprise

I discovered these photos from my florist (the wonderful Jessica at Cymbidium Floral) and was so happy to see that she captured some moments before guests arrived (the shots I've been wishing I had this whole time). With the rain and hurricane and well...general mess...we were too busy trying to take pictures indoors to remember to get the much needed untouched before shots. This is the calm before the chaos.

Best Bouquet Finalist

Here I am...wondering/perplexed by why suddenly my the Knot Real Wedding submission has over 3,000 visits...weird.

And then I figured it out....well actually it took me two days (yeah well - I don't pretend to be the quickest person).

Top 10 finalist for best bouquet....can't stop smiling....please vote for me my fellow wedding fanatics (my entry is the one in the top left entitled Aqua + Orange)!

Easter...um baby decor?

Okay I seriously debated whether or not to post this for half a second and then decided everyone needs to see this. Easter hat from Hookaholic. You want an explanation...to bad you're not getting one.

Paper Flower Decor

I love paper flowers, I had some at my wedding....which I still have in a vase on my mantel. Looking for some quick/lasting Easter decor...look no further than Millalove on Etsy.

And if you're a cupcake lover like me...you'll appreciate these adorable cupcake topper flowers!

50's Inspired Gowns

Amy Jo Tatum has some awesome 50's inspired gowns including a few styles that are made from cotton or hemp gown...a little more eco-friendly and sustainable than some of the fabrics commonly used on wedding gowns.

Cake Topper Heaven

This is quite possibly the best cake topper I have ever seen....stacked on top of the cutest little wedding cakes on the planet. From Martha Stewart Weddings (Eunice and Daniel). They did an amazing job of creating a really whimsical feel at their big day.

In Loving Memory

This is a tough day to post much of anything as I mourn the loss of my Great Aunt Kay.

In loving memory of her vibrant smile and glowing personality that touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Shown here a photo of Dom and Kay on their wedding day...she is the most graceful, beautiful bride I have ever seen.

Elementary Love

My favorite concept for a couple that has been together since near childhood. A grade school inspired wedding complete with apples, quizzes and lunch trays. The result is chalk full of personality...

Short Wedding Dress

This one is for April...who will someday look even cuter than this model when she walks down the aisle...in a dress very similar to this. This seller on Etsy (Myfairytailwedding) has gorgeous gowns that are sighhh - not too pricey but look like a million bucks.

Wrapping up Beautifully

Everyone's knows I've been on a butterfly kick lately so I guess it's no surprise that I just love this wrapping paper I discovered thanks to Desiree Spinner

These gorgeous wrapping papers are expensive but I would argue...so worth it. From Paper Source.

Easter decor from William Sonoma...Nests and Eggs

Easter Ideas

I believe in an earlier post I made fun of both Easter eggs and bunnies. I take it all back after finding these cute examples of Easter decor...apparently it can be done without being cheesy or childish. Who knew?Easter

Color Palettes by Season

Real Simple is one of my favorite sites for wedding inspiration. These 4 seasonal color palettes from Real Simple Weddings are so helpful and well thought out. Okay maybe the fact that the spring palette is the exact same colors I used at my own wedding makes me love it even more! Regardless - these are such fool proof colors that are incredibly versatile in any season.

St. Patty's Inspired Ring

I found this ring on Etsy yesterday and had to share it. Although not your run of the mill engagement ring...this could easily work in place of the typical all diamond ring.

Sooo amazing!

And this Shamrock ring pillow...adorable

Blue and Brown Wedding Decor

Few things are more perfect than a robin's egg blue and brown color combo. So pretty when paired with an outdoor setting...or really just about anywhere. I love this chocolate brown and blue cake...so decadent!Blue and Brown

Erimel Makeup Artistry

Melissa is an amazing makeup artist I met last year at a bridal show. She works mostly in the seacoast area of New Hampshire. I think Melissa did a phenomenal job on my makeup for our anniversary shoot and she was nice enough to put some of photos from the session on her website. Anyhow if anyone is looking for a makeup artist in the Portsmouth NH area...she is your go-to gal.

Cherry Blossom Inspiration

We're getting close to cherry blossom season. Incorporating cherry blossoms into a wedding makes for a lot of girlish pink romance.

Enchanted Forest

A subtle color palette of seafoam, gold, white and sage green. You might recognize this ultra flattering Monique Lhuillier gown, similar to the one from the recent Bachelor wedding. It's part of the 2010 Spring collection - pure perfection. Enchanted Forest

Lovely Dresses

Since I have the distinct honor of jury duty this week, I'm not posting much since I have to keep my brain fresh...or something.

But I did just stumble across this Etsy designer (SarahSteven) and I had to share a few of her dresses immediately since they are incredibly stunning! In case you are asking yourself if I am ever going to get sick of ruffles, the answer is NO never. I hope so badly that the ruffle fad is here to stay for a while.

Animal Print Obsession

Okay I confess - I am totally obsessed with leopard and giraffe prints right now. There - I said it. In my opinion, animal print works best on accessories. So whether it's a finishing touch on my living room or an outfit, animal print is my go-to to make it pop (a pair of earrings, shoes, a throw pillow or even a blanket). It looks amazing and goes with EVERYTHING.

In the past week I've purchased leopard flats, giraffe heels and a leopard throw pillow (from Etsy made entirely of recycled designer fabric). Next purchase, it'll be a leopard robe like the one below from William Sonoma.

Oh, and check out the fantastic leopard print flats - a la Nordstrom.

Wildly in Love with Animal Print

Pale Yellow and Pink

This board is very Easter inspired, without the ahem....Cadbury mini eggs and bunnies.

More Marisa 737

Back by popular demand - introducing more photos of my Marisa 737 wedding gown. I know how frustrating it is that Marisa shows so few of their gowns on their website. It drove me nuts when I was trying to decide on my gown. Well for those interested in the Marisa 737 - here are a bunch of photos at all different angles (close up and far shots). Enjoy lovely brides to be. Hope this helps you decide on whether this is the dress for you. I did what I believe is the best bustle treatment for this gown - an American bustle with a french (under bustle) on the liner layers. It worked like a charm. I should also mention my dress might look different to you and that's for a couple reasons.

1. I added hook closure buttons down the back of my gown

2. I deepened the sweetheart neckline
